Im planning my next big, (probably last) project.
Whilst i wont bore you with the finer details, im going to be building a chevy truck with modern running gear.
However, given how much of the newer vehicle i will want to use it got me thinking about how to join them together.
Ive a few different ways of doing it, but with most of my options, i will need to join 50's mild steel to modern, i assume, high carbon steel.
Whilst i have done that before it was all non critical stuff.
Im assuming that just welding the 2 together isnt really what i should be doing as i will be creating a weakness on the "new" side of the join?
What should i be doing here? Thoughts? Struggling to find answers.
