I got one of these just before last xmas (was going to do a review but was enough about them on here),i was well please with it,in fact over the moon great tool for £150 less a penny.
BUT
And a big but, after about the 4th time of using it i got problems, motor cut out during cutting, like wtf,did the normal checks ie fuse gone, come unplugged etc this was on speed 1,checks done went to speed 2,it run for 5 secs then stopped again, happened on 3 then 4..........GUTTED
So,next step was contact Aldi's what to do next
After 15mins on the phone (usual data garbage) you get a choice, either return it for a full refund or go through the warranty,i chose the latter, mainly because i liked the tool etc
You the get passed over to these guys in Austria

After being on the phone to them for the next 30 mins going through all the what happened, when, why, what i had for breakfast and time i went to the loo they agreed to send me a postage label to post to them, free i will add.
Heard nothing until 2 weeks ago basically saying its not repairable and they wont be giving me a replacement either just a refund,i thought strange so check aldi online and low and behold i see this

PRODUCT NO LONGER AVAILABLE
Bummer
Now the fun,i get an email from them again asking for my bank details for the refund plus copy of receipt description of the fault blah blah blah ffs you had all that in the 1st place
This morning i've contacted them again as i've still received nothing back........yet
I'm hoping this isn't going to be a long drawn out affair
So to sum up and warn those who've got one,if it goes pop you wont be getting a new one, contact Aldis
Again gutted really as its a cracking tool shame it didnt last as long as the grinders
Thanks for reading
