And if you use Steadytech ABS Pro it's only a tenner when on offer and prints as easy as PLA. Stronger less warping and less fumes (allegedly)I print in ABS, works out about £20/kg
there's other costs (parts ware out etc.) but that's hardly anything
I think ABS is one of the dearer plastics, but I like it, it's good and strong
it's shocking how light and how strong things are when printed... most of the time they weigh hardly anything - which at under £20/kg means it cosats naff all

Here's my one and only 3d print publication. I did it to learn how to make 3d prints and use the machine. Learned a lot doing this.
