You should get a hearing test done
I can hear just not as good as it was. My mum now has hearing aids so when it gets to the stage I can’t hear standing a few feet away I will as for now I’m good

I'm sure you ask this every time I post
Brixworth... but probably not for much longer if IR35 kills the game
I use Bluetooth headphones in bed and the best ones are cheap jam fusion on ear as they are not only cheap but comfortable.I've found the clamping pressure of the 'normal' ones to become too much, thankfully I've only needed to wear such equipment for say an hour or two at max,....feel sorry for anyone who's suppose to wear them 8 hours a day, don't think I could do it.
It’s not about hearing aids. They won’t do anything for noise induced hearing loss.
If you have an audio metric screening test it will pick out what frequencies are damaged. Then it will allow you (with some help) to pick out the most appropriate hearing protection
I’m currently using 3m peltors

These are very good, infact they are probably too good as they afford 37dB of attenuation
You’ve got to be working somewhere hellishly noise to use these all day long, think inside a ships engine room
Naa garage today, brixworth tomorrowYou still at Brixworth?
Just checking
my he ex boss asked one of the lads to go to screwfix and get 10 sets he got the most expensive ones they had!
he also got full face masks as most of us wore glasses, sadly they didn’t fit with any of our glasses!

Be waaay too late by then. . Hearing damaged to that extent will impact on many of your life functions, like driving, telly etc. Never mess with your eyes or ears, they're what keep you in contact with the rest of the world.
So you will probably have damaged hearing in one ear
Did the H&S bod have anything to say about you wearing them, assuming they visited you at some point?
They were company supplied, I had a hearing test before I left and these were the results.

I had a burst eardrum due an ear infection from welding when I was in my early twenties. Not bad for 54 though.classic 4K dip

Plus shooting and forgetting your plugs.
