i'm having an issue with my 2002 fwd 2.4 n/a volvo estate.
sitting on the motorway at a steady 58mph in 5th gear.
downhill, steady as a rock.
uphill, shakes like its trying to break itself apart.
but NOT through the steering wheel.
experimenting shows that pressing the throttle at anything above 55mph causes the shaking, which eases off as soon as i take my foot off the pedal.
the problem occurs at the same speed, regardless of gear - 3rd, 4th, 5th at least.
and doesnt occur at lower speeds - in any gear.
unlikely to be related, but added for completeness: the steering fluid reservoir cap leaks a little, but is within the limits.
i've just replaced the two front tyres, and had them balanced.
