I want to put strip lights under five over worktop cupboard areas in the kitchen.
I have seen a couple of people using these LED strips or similar now: https://www.toolstation.com/sensio-primo-5m-ip20-flexible-strip-light/p14086
I want to run about 3.15m in total but in 5 lengths:
3x40cm
2x120cm
Am I best to buy a transformer with six outputs and link each strip back to a six way (cant get 5 way) transformer separately or join the strips in series with one link to the transformer? I think the former but wanted to check.
I may run another line on top of the cupboards, but I guess a different transformer might be useful for this as we might not want everything switched on together.
I plan to connect these to the junction box currently supplying an 18W T8 Tube over the sink only (the other under cupboard spaces are currently unlit) so will need to add an accessible switch somewhere on the transformer supply line. Will this do the job https://www.toolstation.com/axiom-inline-switch/p76089? It can be tucked under a cupboard well away from the sink and cooker and switched from there?
(dont have to buy from toolstation - there is one local to me that's all).
