Helping out the guys that bought my agricultural business, need to paint inside of the tank and the ribbon of a 500L mixer. The stuff mixed is quite abrasive (fibre pellets and water in an alkaline solution ph12-12.6).
It has been painted a few times over the years but we are going to reverse electrolyse it by hanging the anode and de-rusting the tank and ribbon. Will use quite a high current as from experience that will blow most of the paint off too, tank is 5mm thick steel so no issues there.
They will then need something to paint it with, ideally just 1 or 2 coats to give a rock hard gloss finish.
This is how it was last time I painted it a few months later it was rusty again!
I was thinking 2 pack or a chlorinated rubber. Suggestions ?
