So what's your first post about....There is NO fracking taking place in the UK!

Theyve been coming into Milford Haven for donkeys years though........and theres another place on the south coast (cant remember the name)These are the huge ships
But what's that got to do with fracking if it's not taking place in the UK. All they said was "The government said it would not agree to any future fracking “until compelling new evidence is provided” that proves fracking could be safe. "Pointing out that electric prices keep rising and yet new homes will be forced to go all electric which will cost the home owners far more in heating! Gas is almost 1/4 the price domestically.
We did have deals with Arab companies but more and more coming from North America now.
Sadly the Norwegians have much bigger fields than us in the North Sea for oil and gas - we aren't really allowed to steal theirs
Just got rid of our LPG tank, we now have natural gas but just for cooking.
We swapped out our gas boiler for biomass about 3 years ago and use pellets and logs from sustainable sources.
We have an electric car and will swap the Disco for something greener soon. We use Ecotricity as an electricity supplier who buy their electricity predominantly from renewable sources.
I think we should be subsidising green energy even more. I would like to leave my kids something like the world I enjoyed.
Yep, green technology is not perfect, but getting better as the market matures.
I don't give two hoots for the various arguments about other country's carbon emissions as a reason to do nothing, don't buy their rubbish and they won't need so much energy.
I like to stick to science, here's a good site that counters all the usual Mail/Sun/Trump BS with science.

Gas overproduction isn't by accident, it isn't in producers interests to have low prices, unless you want to make green energy look more expensive......

I agree but its not easy. I try to do my best.
One of my pet hates is overpacking food....why cant we return to loose potatoes etc...why does it all have to be in plastic bags........then I read that the bags etc prolong the life of the veg and not having the bags would mean smaller deliveries and more deliveries and more pollution....you cant win...whatever you think there always seems to be hidden alternative views..its confusing but I will still try to do what i think is right.
Yes but Im sure I read that the biodegradeable fell into micro balls or something, which are impossible to filter out of seawater....but the un-biodegradeable ones are easy to seperate....as I said "not easy"Tesco spent a fortune on developing bio degradable plastic bags. And it worked. The old ones fell to bits. Then free carriers were banned. The new ones are not bio degradable and use more plastic
I am a firm believer in Global warming.
The main reason I am against all these so called renewables is because most of the countries using them end up producing even more CO2. Germany being a classic example! Then there is the destruction of natural forests and open cast mining of lignite etc.
The only major country that meets all the CO2 targets is France. Because of their abundant nuclear power.
I am a big fan of cheap energy.
I use waste pallet wood to heat my house - it saves me a fortune and I only use the oil system occasionally.
Strange how the eu and Germany in particular hate Russia, but still want to buy their gas. The un have just imposed sanctions on any company involved in the building of the Nord stream gas pipeline from Russia to Germany. Von der Leyen the new German ruler of the eu has also introduced a "green deal" that is estimated to cost 1 trillion + euros, tripling the eu budget. So she proposes to spend a ridiculous amount of money and it will achieve next to nothing, as most of europe is already low carbon. She wants france to get rid of the nuclear plants too, but replace them with what ? And what will it achieve ?
The whole thing is a mess.
