This is a consumerable item,imagine running these as a fleet vehicle where you’d expect a 2-4hour turnaround,paying £40-80hour labour .
Grumble over, going back to a vw or sprinter.
Agree,i can have on my own engine+gearbox out on the smiley in under 1 1/2 hrford transits are rubbish...at least all the ones I come across.......
I agree in principle, but practicalities had to dictate my method as I ain’t lifting the body, anyway the cross member isn’t going to drop,it’s got 2 big 12.9 bolts still if the others fail/drop off.Hi, It's good or standard practice to have critical bolts like that installed from above because if the nut and bolt comes loose, only the nut is lost not the nut, bolt and subframe. What's bad practice is no access to the bolt head above it.

Straight out of university and on to a cad machine to design without shop floor experience. I absolutely hate designers these days. Just as well you don't have an Aston Martin with a fog lamp bulb gone. You might be looking at £2000 for a £2 bulb.
took me a good 45min to change a headlight bulb in my brothers Yaris.... next time he took the car in for a service a bit early to get them to do it (main stealer) - it took them an hour and a half! (he stood and watched them do it)

That's crazy and should be illegal for them to design in the first place, any safety item like a bulb, you should be able to easily replace at the roadside in my opinion.
I think Renault take first prize for building in buggerance, I reckon the design teams are on some kind of bonus scheme to dream up hateful mechanical mayhem.
