Hi all
Just after some advice, I need to do a few spot repairs and blow ins on ford frozen white. I'm guessing from the factory it is clear over base, but I see it is available in direct gloss 2k, this appeals to me as I will be outside (contained with extraction but essentially a tent) so if I get bits in the base and then clear over it I'm stuffed, at least with DG I can flat it back.
The Q I have is does DG present any issues when feathering in?
For base over clear I would blow in / feather the base then lacquer the whole panel to avoid an edge/panel mismatch.
I'd rather not DG a whole panel due to colour matching but will I get an edge when polishing it back on a blend? Will 2k DG chalk up over time?
