So I got caught out with a fake Milwaukee battery purchase from eBay. I’d seen the M12 6AH battery for £43

It supposed to be U.K. based, cheapest I could find but not silly cheap, the pictures looked good and obviously not a pattern part either. Placed the order and PayPal confirmation came back with Chinese writing on it so alarm bells started ringing. Order arrived quickly in a plain box and opening it the battery did look genuine until you started to look closer. A CE sticker on top of the battery and the sticker with the serial number on the bottom didn’t look authentic even it was formatted correctly. I tried to register the battery and the serial number wasn’t recognised surprise, surprise.
Checked images online and the transfer on the front of the battery was from an older design with grey borders whilst the ones on the side had red borders from the current design.
Lodged a return with eBay stating the above and within an hour a full refund without returning the battery with an excuse that they don’t know how it’s happened as they an American reseller ( with a Chinese PayPal account selling EU stamped batteries)
No harm in my case but watch out for this eBay seller.
