I’ve got enough projects looming that I think I can justify one of these, sizing large sheets on my little table saw is a nightmare on your own and even with a helper accuracy is questionable. Plus, I’m likely to be doing some work elsewhere, and the table saw isn’t easy to shift about.
Most of the vids and reviews out there seem to be comparing the Festool to something else (usually cheap), with the Festool generally coming out on top. I don’t mind that if it is a good tool, I’m not interested in the cheaper end machines.
I like the look of the Makita too, but nothing else particularly jumps out.
What have you got, why is it good / bad?
Battery models?
A 40mm worktop would probably be the heaviest use it would see.
