If every electric car thread is going to result in a my car vs your car by the folks who cant see past diesel, why stop there. Lets keep going, horses eat grass for fuel, much better than diesel, their poo helps more grass grow great life cycle, can get more than 10 years out of one with minimal servicing, few shoes a month, can be attached to trailers for greater carrying capacity. This gets boring after a while.

There's a Finnish company at it too https://www.fortum.com/products-and...ycling/lithium-ion-battery-recycling-solution
plus an Australian company was filing patents on reprocessing too, not sure if they are doing it themselves or licensing the technology though.
Cant see past diesel?

Send me a link and I will buy it
I think you missed the point of my post. If we are to constantly compare any attempt at advancement to the convenience of what we have just now then we would never improve. What you see repeatedly in these discussions is probably the same chat that happened when horses and canals where primary forms of transport. There are 8,500 petrol stations in the UK, imagine trying to sell that requirement to people back then, yet here we are and we rely on them daily. Yet we continually hear the argument of “oh the infrastructure isn’t there for EV’s, good luck queuing up for your charge points, oh how will i get electricity in my van for work”. Same way we got to the point we are now with ICE vehicles. Adoption and advancement.
Because eventually ice will die and he will be way ahead of the curveElon Musk has NO clue what he is doing.
How he thinks he can compete with the likes of VW, Toyota and GM is beyond me.
What does he offer that is different? Nothing. Mass manufacturing of cars is not easy.
He is a master of spin and hype.
What does he have that the major manufacturers don't?Because eventually ice will die and he will be way ahead of the curve

Someone asks you to name an evWhat does he have that the major manufacturers don't?
It is much easier for the likes of VW, Ford, GM,Toyota etc etc to switch their super efficient productions lines to electric cars than for a new company to perfect mass production.
