I agree about 235 being high for 6mm, certainly can be done but as you say a small machine
won’t keep it up for long, 235 is likely the sweet spot for 1mm wire, I used to set the rotator
I had welding pipes and pipes and end plate together to 235 amp, but the rotator flew along
otherwise I would have burned through the 5mm pipe, actually used to use this same
method to cut such pipe into accurate lengths using the locating system that held the pipe
for welding, left a cut that was clean enough to weld with no hassle.
1mm wire will run a HUGE range of amperage, there is no "sweet spot" amperage wise. There's a voltage range to avoid, but no amperage.
I've personally ran 1mm wire down to 90 amps for sheet metal, up to 300+ amps, and everything in between.
I think you guys are looking at the wrong videos, regardless, at this sort of quality level it's more the skill of the person setting and making the weld, than anything to do with the machine.
