Hi Guys,
I've been over at the eldest boys place today replacing a radiator in the bathroom and a stat on the rad in the back bedroom. All went well apart from bleeding the system. The new rad and the one I fitted a new stat to, bled fine but the old rad in the front bedroom had no bleed screw!
It seemed to warm up ok but what's that all about? Is there such a thing as a self-bleeding radiator?
The system is probably 25 years old though the combi is a lot newer and the whole upstairs system was drained down prior to splitting it open (though of course that rad in the front room wouldn't have had its bleed point opened up!)
Cheers,
