noticed the SERV + airbag light came on before when the cable to the pretensioner on the drivers seat was disconnected, but plugging that back in solved the problem
never gave it a second thought but since then I've had the steering column disconnected at the knuckle near the floor so the rubber floor mat could be removed...when it was disconnected the steering wheel was (obv) free to rotate in either direction well past where it would usually when connected/driving
from looking at some Youtube vids can see there's a ribbon cable and other wires/connections for the airbag that might have been damaged from rotating the wheel too much in either direction
so...is it likely somehting's been damaged in there with the wheel rotating too much...if so any idea what's most likely to have been damaged and what needs replaced?
not attempted to disassemble/inspect anything yet, just trying to get an idea what to look for
cheers
