Here's one for the collective!
SWMBO has just replaced her MX5 with something 'more baby friendly' (no, not us, the son and his delightful fiance are expecting our first grandchild in January).
She bought a '66 plate Fiesta which is a great little car except it has no parking sensors. Well she found a set (aftermarket not OEM) and I was duly despatched to fit them. I've had both front and rear bumpers off, fitted the sensors and refitted the bumpers.
This is where things have started to go awry! How the devil are you meant to get the cabling for the front sensors into the car and through to the boot where the little box of tricks, that makes it all work, lives?!!!
It used to be that you could lift the bonnet and see the bulkhead, pick a suitable point to drill through and add a grommet or two. I can't even see the bulkhead never mind cut a hole through it!
Has anyone been down this treacherous route before and might be prepared to offer me some tips on how to go about this?
Please help
Richard.
