Hi all, I’ve just found myself a scissor ramp which only lifts about 1 meter but is enough for servicing and general repairs on the family cars, the problem is my garage is steel framed with the lowest point only 6feet ,
The garage is basically three ‘A’ frames supporting the roof etc, I would like to remove the centre section (the lowest point) and re-enforce higher up probably by cutting down the existing A frame and welding it back in nearer the roof, here’s a photo where you can see the shape of the A frame over the doors also a glimpse of the offending framework just above the front of the roof of the car, your thoughts please gents.
