I think I've got a gas leak somewhere on my tig set up.
Not used the water / washing up liquid yet to try and find the exact location will try tonight.
Two reason I suspect leak:
1. No matter what settings any stainless welds have a dull grey appearance.
2. Once regulator / bottle is closed the pressure reading on reg drops to zero after 30 mins.
Ok so if I've got a leak in the system, while the gas is flowing to the torch surely its at a higher pressure than ambient and due to this air can't / should enter the system and contaminate the argon?
Or is the leak point acting like a venturi on a carburetor and dragging air into the mix?
