sorry for any confusion. I dont have the liner separated from the block when I'm welding. The only way that Ive been able to thread the wire has been to dismantle the gun and uncouple the liner from the block. This allowed me to tweak the position of the wire enough that I could eventually get it through the block. As I said a very frustrating experience. I'd reconnect everything before actually welding
Not sure whether the gun is original or not, No idea what the original should be like.
