I start a TIG welding basics course at my local college in January. (after years of wanting to do it, better late than never right?).
I'm looking to buy a TIG unit to put in my workshop at home, I do not have a high budget (~600ish is top end). Ideally looking for a DC only machine (for now) which i can use to practice on, and use for hobby builds for a few years before going all in on a more expensive machine.
USEAGE:
DIY/Hobby // Nights and Weekends mostly.
Mild & Stainless Steel // ~2.0-3.0mm
This has more than likley been asked a few 18,374,285 times over the years, but any recommendations or feedback from the below? I did a search but unsure if much has changed in the years between reviews etc.

- R-Tech TIG160PDC (£603.36) - Top end price
- ESAB BuddyTig 160 (£562.38) - Ideally prefer a pedal over a switched torch though.
