Car filler is fine for wood, and paint straight on top with normal household undercoat or glossI'm interested in using Upol Easy 1 to fill some window sills of mine that are in poor condition. Is Upol filler also suitable for wood? It seems so from what I've read. And if so, what kind of primer would I use on top of the filler? I'd want to apply it with brush rather than spray.
I use it normally within 6 months but i stir it when i go to get any out and i keep it well sealed.Looks a great price, do u know if it has a shelf life i normally buy mid sized 1-litre tubs so not bulk but not getting ripped off with tiny 250ml tubs at half the price.
upol Fantastic. it is what is says on the tin, Fantastic.
I used about 1 litre today making a mould for some coving repairs, I used some baking foil which i wall paper pasted onto a good section of the coving and wall and ceiling, The smoothed it out and pressed it in before mixing up the filler onto a 4" wide piece of plater board about 6 inches long stuck it onto the foil and left it 10 minutes and it pulled the foil away leaving me with the right profile negative, Now i can do all the repairs using plaster and this thing i made as a float.cheers all
went for a 3.5 litre of Upol Easy 1 (it's what the factors had)...the guy did say the hardest part was applying/spreading it! at least I can watch him and will have plenty left over to mess about and experiment with (or leave it to harden on a shelf until the next time it's needed )
