I lost my phone this week, which I was looking to replace anyway so apart from the inconvenience of getting a new sim card and using a spare phone for a couple of days it was more providential than anything.
Anyway I'm an android user and I work on site so I had a few considerations:
Must run up-to-date software
Must not be too expensive, as I tend to break them often
Must have decent battery life. I ride my motorbike to and from site and I don't want to break down only to find my battery hasn't lasted the day out.
Looking around I found only one phone that guaranteed all-day battery regardless of usage and that was the Moto G7 Power, so I bought one.
Well I've spent all day today setting it up, installing apps, checking out the features and deliberately running things that I know will test the battery. Navigation, Youtube, Tv, loads of other stuff. After hours of messing about on the phone the battery is still more that 3/4 full:
I find the 6" screen is excellent and bright, buttons well laid out and gestures customisable (I don't like gestures and turn them all off normally but the screenshot one I have left running. There's a fingerprint reader on the back perfectly placed to put your finger which gives an instant-unlock. it's missing a couple of features such as nfc and wireless charging but I don't use those so no loss to me there.
The best bit? It's only £160 delivered and even comes with a basic protection case (although I have also bought a more robust protector.

I don't usually do product endorsements but I'm making an exception here based mainly on the truly outstanding battery life and the very reasonable cost. So if you're looking for a new Android phone and hate having to charge more than once a day - this is well worth looking at.
