Well guys. Slightly bad news. I originally restored it with the intention of keeping it for my lifetime. The inspiration was to help my wife's recovery from breast cancer which is why I did everything properly and spent so much time and money on it.
Sadly my wife's cancer has returned and its now terminal. I have to obviously now downsize which means ill lose my workshop, and it wont be the same driving it without the vital component in the passenger side. SO. He's reluctantly on the market. I know realistically I wont be able to return the money I spent on it but if I can get some back it will help. All the bits and pieces ive collected on the way will go with it, including the job lot of stainless hardware. He is now registered as historic. I would like to think he will go to someone who will treasure him as ive done.
Bless you all for following this journey.

Sorry to hear the bad news Nick, I just hope Mrs Nick can be as comfortable as possible.
I have enjoyed watching Mr Midge's progress and wish you good luck finding his next custodian.
Thankyou. It's been as enjoyable working on it as well as driving it and am sure who ever takes him on will end up with a long term continuation of joy built from my dedication and hard work.
Just a quick update. I wrote in the advert that the project has been documented on a forum and ive been absolutely inundated with folks requesting the www. at the very least, we may get more people on the forum. I do wonder if ive under priced him though. Whatever, ive had some fun with him.

Stick with the price and don’t budge, your effort and dedication deserve that. Last thing you want is that constant niggling feeling haunting you in one of those down moments you did not get asking price.
So far, 16 genuine enquiries and one or two tyre kickers who didn't get a test drive!!! Currently 4 on the list of next to view. Everybody seems to think they're Mike Brewer! "4000 and that's my final offer or ill walk away" "bye then, thanks for looking". I would like to think, whoever buys it might just continue this thread?
