Must admit that was the first thing that came to my mind - the Coronet/Record lathes are built along those lines with two bars forming the bed and on the big ones the head will swivel allowing you to turn over the edge of the bed for bigger diameter stuff.That was interesting. Thank you. Reminds me of a wood turning lathe.
