No, but it does mean that you can fill them up before going to site, sometimes water is not available.I thought they might have been for the Australian market, to stop the water falling out.
Just to clarify. B&Q is known as Brico Depot here, same Kingfisher parent co. So I imagine the kit is the same as UK?

You need to use properly calibrated water.
I've got some but its expensive.
Let you have some for £10 a litre mates rates.

Dont you have a hose pipe, if so just put some clear pipe on each end and job done
