anyone need a 47 y/o apprentice?
All the best with the course, but be careful if anyone sends you for a long stand .
anyone need a 47 y/o apprentice?
yes please! to both.
i literally have no idea.
i wanted to do electrickery.
this was the highest level course available to me, at the nearest college, at convenient times, with my qualifications+experience.
i've got a cousin who runs a commercial maintenance company who'll give me some "work experience" for my second year - and then I'll worry about further courses.
as long as i can get liability insurance, and be able to sign off my own work...
i'm CURRENTLY doing "resistors in parallel".
learnt LOADS - but i got OHMwork.
Can't remember the last time I needed to know about resistors etc. Can't remember it all anyway....
So how was the first day?
Fags behind the bike shed in the morning, spot of lunch then bunk off the afternoon down the pub?
I thought half the "students" these days only turn up so they can get (their) dole money!
I write "their" but mean ours as in people that work and pay taxes.....
Why do we???
Copper shortages during/after the war
my background in maths+physics is showing
Spot on with the war shortage of copper...quite smart using a ring.
My bachelor's was in applied mathematics...after I finished it I went in a different direction with studies... was surprised to see my mate doing some of the magnetism and current induction theory stuff.
He was also 10 years older than the rest of the class
Just reading that makes my head hurt.
