Most of our hedges are cut using a tractor mounted flail head, however corners and where there are obstructions prevent the tractor getting at them, there are bits that still need controlling.
(Sadly we are 'blessed' with hundreds of metres of Leylandii from a previous owner much of which we've managed to reduce to about 5 foot and need to keep it from escaping. I've uprooted masses of this weed and replaced it with native species but it's not practical to get rid of it all)
This year I've contracted out the cutting to a chap with a far larger tractor than mine who has a long reach flail arm but still the corners etc cannot be reached.
So I'm looking for recommendations for a petrol long reach pole cutter - probably with a chain saw and a cutter bar head.
I've love to have a Stihl one but their prices look like telephone numbers
