BT style overhead 2 pair & three strainers " aka drop wire" and some pig tails make fantastic clothes lines , as the outer plastic coating is very UV resistant and lasts for 20 to 30 years . It is very strong too , when I worked in BT doing a line & pole recovery first stage I was able to hang on three wires without them breaking …. I weighed 16 stone . You can buy it from most telephony installer companies or you might just happen to find some somewhere .Get rid of it and put a proper line up !
Somewher there is a photo of the time I did some washing then hung it up to dry, didn't have a clue where the wooden or plastic peg type things were so jeans and overalls went up with mole grips and t-shirts clamped to the line with small G clamps.Get rid of it and put a proper line up !
