I’ve seen a couple of them and they are good. I think the one you described was the first episode, where they were ambushed in open ground.
That’s the one.Was a corn field or something? And he kept advancing, the German soldiers spent so much time focusing on firing at him that the rest of his unit were able to cover the open ground and help overwhelm the machine gun nest.
Inspiring stuff.
This lad did something similar, took out 2 machine gun nests, killed 8 krauts, all in a few minutes.

Yes seen that. Amazing.Although dramatised, if you’ve not seen it then watch Hacksaw Ridge based on Desmond Doss, who as a conscientious objector went to war as a medic and saved dozens of life’s despite being wounded himself, also recipient of the Medal of Honor.

i believe there is some controversy as to what he actually achieved in the field, i read his book and found him the stereotypical hur hur hur kill the brown man american. sniper one is a much better book written by a british sniper, and also craig harrisons book on the longest kill.Yes seen that. Amazing.
Have watched most war films that are based on some factual truth and that is perhaps the greatest in terms of making you feel emotionally connected to the guy.
I’m a big fan of Chris Kyle (numerous citations, I think it was 2 Silver Stars in four tours) and think he is honest and humble, certainly moreso than some of the other guys Afghanistan/Iraq turned out.
When the film American sniper was released one of my mates was doing a year abroad at university, he went to see it with his American friends in California, there was a standing ovation at the end of it.
