Hi all. I was wondering what is the best way to get into the welding world work wise?I have seen a few local jobs advertised mostly mig all around around 10ph. They ask for mig experience 1 to 2 years, reading from blueprints and working to tight tolerances. I have noticed most of it is agency work and i have used agencies in the past fro warehouse work and lets say they are not great for both employer and employee most of the time but oh well. Now I did do some workshop work 10 years ago but to be honest seems some what pointless now as it was such a long time ago. I was hoping if any of you could give me the heads up of the best way to get started. I have used mig in the past and bought a cheap arc weldor to get some practice and try making a few things more out of interest than anything else. i was also tempted to go to old workshop i worked at in my teens and see if they needed a hand. Apart from that im not to sure where to. Im in the midlands near Coventry. What im after is experience more than anything. Thanks all
