Hey guys, new to this forum.
My work is slowly evolving into the commercial side of things and a few weeks ago I was really pushing my Lincoln 3phase V270t pulse machine and realised it's time to buy a water cooling unit and wp18 torch.
I like to keep things all matchy matchy in my workshop, so ideally I'd like the Lincoln coolarc 20 water cooling unit to bolt and plug straight under my machine, so there's no extra power cables to trip over, but it comes with a £900 price tag + a new 6mtr wp18 set up.(If it's worth the money, then I'm not fussed)
A few questions for people that don't get paid by Lincoln electric:
1. It's flow rated at 2 litres per minute, while most other brands are between 5-7Lpm. Does the coolarc20 cool the water more efficiently so there's no need for higher L/pm? Or am I going to be better off with a different brand with higher flow rate?
2. It's powered by a plug underneath the welding machine itself... If at a later date my machine goes *bang* can I re-wire the cooler unit with a wall plug and use it on another machine that isnt a Lincoln?
3. Am I just better off buying an "aftermarket" brand of water cooler with higher flow rate, normal 110/240v plug that I can use on any machine in the future?
I know this is a lot to ask, but I would greatly appreciate your help on this matter.
Many thanks!
Dan

P.S this forum has helped me soooo many times in the past, and hopefully I'll be able to give back to this amazing community of people in the near future.
