I can't pinpoint exactly when it started, but for several months now the amber oil low level warning light has not illuminated when I start the van up. It's a 2002 ex-AA 2.5TDi ACV with 230k on the clock. Back in April when I was on the way to France I had a major breakdown (in the UK, thankfully) which lead to the diesel pump, water pump, cam and aux belts and alternator all being replaced
I know for a fact that the light hasn't lit up since then, but it may have started malfunctioning before then - I can't be sure. I can't really go back to the garage that did the work as I'm in Sheffield and they're in Brackley (where I broke down) and my local garage can't figure out the issue. I've also contacted Brickwerks (VW specialist) and they don't have an answer.
Looking at the dash when I start the van it seems to me that I'm missing more than just the oil level warning light, but I can't be sure. Has anyone experienced anything similar? The red low oil pressure light still illuminates at start up. I should also add that the interior lights no longer work. I've pulled all the fuses to check if any have blown and they all look fine.
Cheers,
Graham
