I don't care, we are on the British Isles, predominantly a wet damp climate. They aint gonna do a knats fart.
There has been many a discussion on here about rust proofing kit housed in fully enclosed workshops. Some of the folk have gone to great lengths and tried many things, Silica Gel aint one of them !!!!!
Think you need to get a bit realistic
Anything kept outside is going to rust if its not SS, painted or coated in something, even then things rust
Tarp failed through UV damage it seems.
Must of been a Jabberwocky tarp to fail so quickly.
One of mine is outside and has been for 4 years now and still is in good nick.
Forget the rating on it, but wasn't cheap or high end either. In full sun all day and table gets too hot to touch underneath, started using wooden battons to create an air gap but didn't and I think the UV and heat baked the tarp.
Was really long for suggestions on better tarps or wax covers, but I think ill build a smaller table I can keep inside the garage when I can order the steel for it.
Indeed. I like this style. Not all tarps are made equal.
That's your problem right there.Took this yesterday. Green one is the one that failed. Added another cover on as a temp fix. Bought from Amazon IIRC, will check details when I get home.View attachment 190458
People seem a bit paranoid on here. I'm new to welding ergo new to any welding forums.
