So I have the helmet, gloves and protective clothing.
I am strongly considering the Clarke 135TE due to the fact it runs off a domestic socket. What I’d like to know is the gas and regulator valve.
My plan is to do work on my car repair rust patches, exhaust, making parts which would otherwise cost a fortune if bought from the manufacturers and work on another semi classic car. In between the times I’m not working on my car I plan making fixed aluminium stands for my photographic work and even try my hand at sculpture. (I have a lot of time on my hands).
Would an argon/Co2 mix be suitable for all of the above? If so what regulator would I use for the 135TE?
Also I’ve been told and need clarification that gas bottle suppliers will only supply the large bottles to businesses. Is this true?
How and where would I be able to get a large bottle in order to keep down costs.
As a side note I’ve settled on the 135TE because it range is 30-130amps, low enough for car body panels and high enough for slightly thicker stuff. But I may use round bars as part of my photographic set up and sculpting.
Any help in any of this would be most appreciated.
Thank you
