Have a job coming up for some handrail supports on an oak garden structure.
I haven’t taken measurements yet, as it’s one of those roundtuit jobs for the in-laws and they’re certainly in no rush.
Idea they are going with is three laminated strips of 1”x4” “sarking” board left over from the roof. Anyway, for longevity I’ve mentioned powder coating or galvanising.
Does anyone have a rough idea of coating thickness? I’d hate to make them the right length and then struggle to fit them after they’ve been finished.
