I recently bought a car that has been fitted with a front splitter...it's WAY TOO LOW so I want it off.
Made of carbon fibre and worth a few bob I would like to get it off in one piece!!
I've remove the couple of bolts and screws but it's stuck VERY WELL with double sided adhesive.
I've had a go with a hairdryer but I'm getting nowhere fast. Although I have got it loosened in parts I'm wondering if there is anything I can use to 'melt' the tape...petrol, paraffin, IPA, WD40 (I've tried) or whatever ....can't use acetone or thinners as it will damage my paintwork too much ...anyone got any ideas??
Picture is of the splitter...........
