Im getting the urge to make a model steam engine and boiler as a winter project, so Im needing to do so drawings , so I'm having to decide if I do it on paper or do it using 2D cad. so if I go the drawing board route, I'll be getting a cheap one off ebay

last time I used CAD was Autocad about 20 years ago, when I was designing a model 20cc V8 petrol engine, (that I never completed designing), but here are some of my drawings for it.
or I need to use 2D cad and it'll need to be nice and easy to use, free or cheap and can be run on windows 10 and doesnt need much storage space, as I'll be using it on a netbook.
so what do you guys suggest with regards to the CAD.
ohh and Im liking the look of a Stuart Turner Twin Launch engine, so may be thinking of something about 2/3 or 1/2 of this size, and I found a video of one being made from stock materials (withouth castings) which is pretty impressive
