Got a phone call this morning from what appeared to be a local number ie. correct area code and 6 digits.
Very well spoken young lady with perfect monotone English says ‘I’m so-and-so from xyz company and I understand that you’ve been involved in an accident that wasn’t your fault’
I tried the old line ‘Ah good, my solicitor has managed to discuss it with you at last’
The reply to this was ‘Have you been in any accidents recently?’
I repeated my response as before.
Now one thing I did notice was an unnaturally long pause between exchanges as well as some feint background clicking.
I said ‘I think I’m speaking to a computer’
Bit more muffled clicking and after about 10 seconds I hang up.
Anyone else had similar thoughts when dealing with this apparent type of ‘artificial intelligence’ call?
I’m trying to think of some smart **** dialogue to confuse the binary pest for when it calls back.
