Either Stanley or Stanley fatmax for longer life. Can anyone recommend some decent Stanley blades?
Bought some from screwfix last week for a carpet job and they are beyond awful. 2 or 3 cuts and they just dont cut it any more. Literally.
Fast testing my patience and costing me time and money

Blades just aren’t sharp these days for some reason
Not cutting the carpet on concrete floors are you?
Hate that with a passionFine until they want £19.99 for delivery to Scottish Highlands.
Elf 'n safety, innit - a person could cut themselves with a sharp one.
You lot are at it again, I'm off to research the best deals on those Sweeney ones...
TBH, I've also thought that Stanley ones weren't holding up as they used to.
First lot I looked at for heavy duty blades were £7.99 per box of 100. Fine until they want £19.99 for delivery to Scottish Highlands. Have saved a 'Bay Seller at £9.99 per 100, which is more like it.
Not sure if they do direct but give them a call and they should tell you where to buy them........supposed to be the best there is....personally Im no expert so its just a word of mouth recommendation.....but they are made in Sheffield......having said that so are Swann Morton who someone commented on earlier......I go past Swann Mortons regularly, on my way to watch Sheffield Wednesday. No prices given?
