Evening folks.
Wifie, just back from supermarket has discovered new 'petrol' pumps, E85 at 52 centimes a litre, a third of the price of petrol. 50p a litre!
Having had a quick squiz on the 'net, it's alcohol and 15% petrol.
Apparently need to spend somewhere near a grand for a special box which can change the advance as alcohol doesn't have the same combustion as petrol.
If I try mixing 50/50 petrol and E 85 just as an experiment, will it do any damage?
Thoughts please folks.
It's a 1996 1.2 Renault Clio with a carb, and no computer/ calculator.
Over to you folks. Thanks, Mat.
