On the plus side, you don't have to deal with the general public.
Lasted one day at a 'propper' gym, got a bar and some plates and started deadlifting (plenty of other floor space and bars available) and had someone stand next to me asking me how long I'm going to be after each set ..

You will struggle for space if the bed and drier are still to be kept in the room. In my experience, the more effort it takes to set up a place to train (moving things out the way, setting up a bench), the less inclined you are to do it.
My gym is an 8x10 foot shipping container. The width is just wide enough to accommodate an Olympic barbell. Your bedroom is roughly the same size AND it has a bed and drier in it. If the room was empty you'd have more than enough space.
As has been mentioned, a set of adjustable dumbbells takes up little room and it more versatile than a barbell. TRX straps (or a cheaper alternative) are great too.
Parallettes can be made out of just about any material. There are many variations to the humble push up to make it as taxing as a bench press without the fear of being trapped under a loaded bar!
This is what I have fitted out an 8x10 space with. Excuse the mess: I haven't vacuumed it in 10 years!
