I needed a welder quickly and ideally cheaply, wasnt sure on how much gas I had so I bought a 130a gasless mig from Amazon, I paid just over £100
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Display4top-Professional-Accessories,Fan-Cooling,Red-Standard/dp/B07HK59GCW
Similar looking ones are available for under £80 and over £150
Very basic box with the welder, some wire and a couple of tips and fuses, along with the "mask" which went straight in the recycling with the box
It has the same plasticky wire feed that failed on my much more expensive welder
The torch, although hobby sized, seems decent and well built, it's a live torch so the trigger just does the wire feed. Trigger feels nice
Easy to set up, claims a 60% duty cycle, I didn't trip the overheat playing with some plate on max power. Its obviously a bit splattery being gasless but a quick whizz over with a knotted wire wheel and a flap disc cured that
I've repaired the wheel arch on my Disco, my welding wont win any prizes but it has got me out of the brown stuff very cheaply
I do like that the cable comes through a strain relief gland, most hobby ones just have a tube and pulling in (in a moment of frustration maybe?) Could damage something
Couldnt be simpler inside, not sure if it will take a 5kg reel but looks like it comes with an adaptor for them
