liking the dolly, I'd be using something like that if I had the space in my garage, but its a little bit tight in there. the feet ar supposed to be able to support 500kgs, although Im wondering if it is a decimal place out.

no idea what the manufacturing tolerance was, but my way of thinking is its better to work from something that is fairly accurate, rather than a couple of work benches and calculate everything by eye. the splatter from welding and sparks from grinding hav't been an issue with the clark tent, its still there although the corners need patching up again. and heres my post about the temparary garage

and here is a piccy of me starting to work on the chassis, which is upside down and the outriggers and side rails have been removed, I'll update the herald thread sometime soon

Are you going to add some retractable wheels? Might be worth changing the plastic leveling feet to something stronger that doesn't absorb molten blobs of steel or fracture and put the frame out of level as the weight increases. I made a dolly for moving and rolling a car here if any of the info is any use to you.

Was a herald made to accuracy’s of 2 mm?
No offence though always liked them & vitesses .BTW,hows the Clarke tent surviving the sparks?
