If you ever see the autosmart vans around your way they have some pretty good ones for heavy duty solvent brake cleaner, they do a nice pump up one with a flexible nozzle extension for about £25 but they also do seal kits for them for about £6 so you can keep them going for years
Yep, wurth dispensers do last with brake cleaner however they do crack after a while. I have one that I use with petrol/diesel mixture and still holds together fine- it’s a couple of years old and still works well. As above, for wd40 I use empty spray bottles, some mr muscle cleaners are very corrosive and take a pounding for a while ! Best thing to use is a metal solvent spray that works with air pressure from a compressor, I degreased engines many times with mine !
I quite like those "laboratory" type squeezy bottles with the tube out of the top - not a spray bottle as such but great for getting good application of solvent in one area. They used to be used a lot in the printing industry, great for shifting heavy deposits.
The problem with cheapo sprayers is the materials used in the plastic parts and more importantly the rubber seals etc. The aren't up to dealing with solvents and fail quickly. As others have said the Wurth sprayers are cheap(ish) and last ages.
If you search "solvent pump spray" on ebay you'll find loads. I have 4-5 of the ones that are exactly the same as those Wurth ones but they have a black top. Thay aren't that expensive these days.
I have one that that I've had for 18-20 years and it's had brake cleaner in the entire time and has never failed. The only one I've ever had fail was in the heat last year, it was in the back of my car and expansion pressure split the bottle. If you are using them for aggressive detergents then they do need EPDM seals(I think) but some places list them with various seals. That said I have one with TFR in and it's left outside and still works fine after 10 years+
Some places have a deal if you buy 3-4.
Just be aware thinners will eat the seals very quickly.
You need to shoip around for brake cleaner, one of my local motor factors do 5L for £7.50 when you buy a box of 4.
