I would quite happily, but it will not meet the emissions required to drive into Glasgow from December.Buy an old Range ropver spend the rest on a holiday
Surely that’s just another bonus ?I would quite happily, but it will not meet the emissions required to drive into Glasgow from December.
They snuck that one in luckly have till 2022 to get the car emissions sorted.I would quite happily, but it will not meet the emissions required to drive into Glasgow from December.
I thought it was December this year..... that is not so bad, though we tend to keep cars for at least 5 years. They snuck that one in luckly have till 2022 to get the car emissions sorted.
Just heard on the radio that in London and any other city of your choice that something like a Honda C90 that does 100mpg will cost £64 a WEEK extra to commute but some cars are free!!!
How stupid is that?
Aye it was only buses from december last year.I thought it was December this year..... that is not so bad, though we tend to keep cars for at least 5 years.
They, the RX lexus are very nice but there is not much boot space, I had a test drive in a RX400 thinking I could use it as an up market van substitute but no.i convinced my next door neighbour to get a lexus, and he plumped for the rx350h.
he loves it.
he's had it about 2 years - trouble free (of course, its a lexus) - and still raves about how good it is.
dont expect massive fuel savings though - the hybrid technology has been tweaked for power, not economy!
its worse than my gs300, better than my shogun (as is the average oil tanker or 737)
but it pulls his 20ft 4 wheel caravan up anx down mountains in wales "like it wasnt there"
<edit - been out to check, and have changed the model number - its the 3.5l hybrid NOT the 4.5l)

I realise the economy will not be great, but still good considering size and performance.i convinced my next door neighbour to get a lexus, and he plumped for the rx450h.

I do not need a massive boot, will be way bigger that the Alfa 159 it would replace. They, the RX lexus are very nice but there is not much boot space, I had a test drive in a RX400 thinking I could use it as an up market van substitute but no.
The Americans seem to really rate them and do big mileages with them. Roadtests criticise the lacklustre handling but otherwise seems very good for what it is.
Aye it is a bit of a contrast to my Landy - quiet, comfortable and refined. Seats are fantastic, am back to Glasgow in it tomorrow taking my brother to pick up a Peugeot Partner he has just bought.Looks good!
Its worse than that, the wife tells me she is keeping my Defender if she feels the Lexus is too big to park, she has been using my Defender for the last few months while I have been off work getting chemo. She loves my Defender and says it is the easiest car she has ever had to park and reverse - I just hope she is not using the tree sliders as parking aids.....Very nice. And dont worry i wont tell the land rover fourm if you do that you bought a toyota in desguise
