Sadly life today is more "look what I've got" rather than "look what I have achieved" or other skill set orientated mindset. And I don't just mean twiddling the wheels on a machine (my personal favourite pastime) I mean more accomplishment orientated.
I suppose we could go on for hours but the sad fact is, values have shifted, not for the better in my opinion. I have always felt I was born about ten years too late and this feeling gets stronger with the passing of time. I don't know what the future holds, but one thing I do know, I am going to enjoy the now! (and try to ignore anyone under the age of 30) with a few notable exceptions. I am especially going to ignore a silly 16 year old girl from the Nordic countries.
I moved from the burbs, to the sticks about 7 years ago. Ive observed a few differences, kids are civil and reply when spoken too. There is far less numberplate soup and look at my bling bling keeping up with the jones car. Even saw a kids on a home made bogey the other day. People genuinly appear more content with their lot and are just happy to have a car, it doesnt need to be the latest over priced bling.
As for the girl from nordic countries and chris packham I will ignore both.
