Insurance isn’t too bad. In fact it’s probably as cheap as the original car!I like the idea but dread to think of the insurance problems tho.......
I once had a Cortina Savage.......now ur talking, no brkes no steering ....hahaha....
oh and often no second gear...used to strip em clean off....no 5 speeds in them days.......
did put a Ford Essex V6 in a Mazda rotary that had a junk engine, just didn't work well.....to much weight I fear over the front end......
I’ve got a single garage but we have a wheelchair lift in the corner so getting a car in is impossible.I love the "How hard can it be?" attidude and it shows you don't need to be in a fully equiped garage to try stuff.
I lent my engine crane and stand to friend and he pulled the enigne on his EVO 6 by his front door and rebuilt the ingine on the stand in the house because he doen't have a garage.
I think the only way is what you've done, stop thinking about it and start digging.
Years ago my mate had no garage and no many tools but he was quite clever and ended up using pulleys and rope to make an engine life that was connected to the stair lift, Sometimes you have to use what is nearest.I love the "How hard can it be?" attidude and it shows you don't need to be in a fully equiped garage to try stuff.
