pretty much correct but you can allow for diversity as well . apart from a shower circuit which has no diversity and runs constant most other stuff like cookers and other appliances do not run constantly so you can knock a fair bit of load off the total at any one timeI understand the point you are trying to make but it's not strictly accurate. If you have an 100A supply there is absolutely no reason why you couldn't have 12 32A breakers in your consumer unit. The breakers will protect the wiring they are connected to and the main incoming supply breaker protects everything. As long as each circuit doesn't exceed the connected breaker and the combined totals don't exceed the incoming there will be no issues.
