Thought this might help some people.
It is a Triumph 2000 short bed lathe - weight about 1300kg. Biggest we can move through a network is 2000kg.
Obviously to ship this there need to be forklifts at collection and delivery - NOT TAIL LIFTS!
The people followed most of my instructions and have done a very nice job. Only 2 nitpicks
1. Once again people have used Europallets which are 80cm deep - a standard pallet is 100cm deep - much more stable. Or they could have turned them the other way!
2. Drivers will usually strap the machine down on the lorry - packed like this he may put the ratchet strap over the splashback - not good!
Still this is a far better job than most do - coming from a decent engineering company.
This was booked as 2x full pallet spaces - a lot lot cheaper than a hiab.
